My father, Bill Cantrell, pictured on the right side, served in the Navy during World War II. One night his ship was sunk by German U boats and he, along with other survivors, spent 13 days at sea in a life raft. Ultimately landing on an island in the south pacific. 

After his honorable discharge he worked the for fire service, and finally ended up with a Heating and Air Conditioning company in San Bernardino, Ca.

Eventually he moved to the town of Crestline in the San Bernardino National Forest and started his own business and was licensed in 1962. He would make a repution of dependabilty and honesty with just a handshake agreement. 

My name is Jeff Cantrell, the owner of J L Cantrell, and I started working for my father and brother during the summers of High School then full time in 1977. In 1987 I received my license and started my own company, shortly after my father sold his business to Kirk Avarell, who still owns the business my father started. 

As a second generation contractor I continue on the family name with the same principles as my father, intergrity, honesty and business with a smile. 

My son, Jeff L Cantrell II, represents the third generation of HVAC and we will soon open another company in Oregon.
